N°9 Oyster Knife

When Opinel set out to design the ultimate folding oyster knife, the storied French makers of knives and kitchen tools turned to the experts: oystermen on the country’s west coast. The resulting knife is perfect for cracking into fresh, briny oysters and shellfish. The bubinga wood handle, a deep rosy color, is naturally dense and water resistant. The stainless steel blade is short, strong, and blunted, providing leverage for cracking open shells. The folding design means that this tool can be tucked into a pocket, backpack, or picnic basket for safe and easy travel.
